ABOUT AUTHOR

Tracy Orobko is a seasoned administrative professional whose career spans more than three decades across the legal and public education sectors in British Columbia.

Tracy began her professional journey in Vancouver, where she spent 16 years working in law firms, building a strong foundation as a corporate paralegal, legal administration, records management, and high‑stakes operational support. In 2005, she returned to her home community and transitioned into the K–12 public education sector — a move that marked the beginning of more than 20 years of dedicated service across three school districts in British Columbia.

Throughout her tenure in education, Tracy has supported seven Boards of Educationfour Secretary‑Treasurers, and one Superintendent, serving as a trusted and confidential Executive Assistant and organizational anchor during times of change, growth, and increasingly complex demands. She simultaneously served as the district’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPPA) Coordinator, ensuring compliance, safeguarding sensitive information, and guiding staff and trustees through legislative requirements.

Her work extended well beyond the board office. Tracy cultivated strong relationships with the Ministry of Education and Child Care, local government, external partners, and stakeholders at all levels. She has been widely recognized for her ability to navigate multifaceted environments, coordinate high‑profile events, manage governance processes, prepare Board and committee materials, and bring clarity and calm to fast‑paced administrative settings.

Driven, detail‑oriented, and deeply community‑minded, Tracy brings professionalism, heart, and an unwavering commitment to helping systems and people function at their best.

First and foremost, she’s a proud mom of three sons

The outdoors is her happy place and anything with handlebars makes her heart soar.

My three sons are the greatest joy of my life, and I carry endless pride for the men they’re becoming. Each of them is thriving in his own adventure, carving out a life with courage, curiosity, and a spirit uniquely his own. Watching them find their way fills me with gratitude. When I’m not cheering them on, you’ll find me outside with Jamie on trails, backroads, and winding paths recharging in the fresh air. And anything with handlebars! That’s my pure happiness, the place where my heart feels the most revved and free.
